In the UK Energy performance certificates are a legal requirement for a building to be sold, let or constructed. An EPC last 10 years from the date of inspection. This document shows you the energy efficiency of a property on a rating scale of A-G as well as its Estimated Carbon Emissions.
The lower the banding of the property the lower your fuel bills should be. Within the document there is advice and guidance on how to improve the efficiency of your home which isn’t just beneficial for your wallet but also the environment.
